Smoke Alarms & CO Detectors
The Barnard Fire District is also proud to have teamed up with the American Red Cross to be a part of their Sound the Alarm campaign. This is a national campaign designed to install working smoking alarms in residential homes at no cost to the homeowner. Fire District Personnel will install the smoke detector in homes within the Fire District at a time that's convenient for both you and the District. Homeowners may contact the Fire District at (585) 663-1113 to request a detector installation.
Additionally, the Fire District has a VERY LIMITED supply of Carbon Monoxide Alarms to be provided to residents in need. If you believe you are in need of a Carbon Monoxide detector, please contact us at the number above.
NOTE: The Fire District does not "hand-out" smoke or CO detectors. We will INSTALL the detector in homes within the Fire District. If you live outside the Fire District, please contact the Fire Department in your area or the American Red Cross to see if they have a program.
