Barnard Group 3, yesterday was training on the tactics and skills of removal of a downed fire fighter using the new "Fast Boards" The District recently invested in this equipment to add to the arsenal of tools available on the fire ground. The Fast Boards, ease some of the effort required to move the fire fighter and their equipment from inside the structure to the outside as quickly as possible. These Fast Boards included LED light strips that also assist with the rescue while inside, with no visibility. The Fast Boards are now on the engine companies to be available whereever and whenever Barnard assists with the assignment, as a Rapid Intervention Team in the Town of Greece and beyond.
